Christian Education
Christian Education Director: Dawn Patrick Chair: Floyd Roebuck
Christian Education has been a building block of our Church's foundation ever since young people started attending our church. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these," from Matthew 19:14.
First Presbyterian Church of Taymouth knows that our children are our future and precious to God. We will continue to help families teach and encourage all children according to God's will.
We offer many opportunities for families with children to be a part of worship, fellowship, learning, and fun activities for all ages. From the moment your family arrives at a Sunday morning Worship service, children will receive their own bulletin and a special bag that contains coloring books and crayons. During the service, children are invited to the Children's Sermon with Pastor Scott at the front of the sanctuary. All of us enjoy this part!!
Before Service activities include:
-
When a child turns five and can reach the altar candles, they may be trained to be acolytes.
-
The Christian Education committee encourages the older children to begin learning how to take attendance, ring the bell, hand out bulletins, and collect prayer cards.

Background checks on all workers and Child Safety Policies are in place.
